Illustration: Muse

The idea was to make the illustration strong, independent and sexy. I thought, well what could be sexier than an old-school Hollywood broad with a tommy-gun?

Some process work. This developed from pencil sketches and a detailed drawing.

Originally, I gave her a blue dress and the background was more saturated with green. However, I realized that these colors would not print in CMYK and I started to alter the color balances. Luckily enough, I discovered the black and red colours in the final illustration was sexier and expressive of the image.
