A bit of reflection . . . Digging around, I found my old sketchbook from a trip to Japan in January to February, 2008. It was basically a bunch of 24 washi sewn together and painted on with sumi ink. I worked with a big brush in bold graphic movements. It was very liberating and very different than anything that I have done before or since.
