I'm starting this year with this painting, which I did almost a year ago. It's an important picture to me because it contains a lot of the elements that I want to develop in my paintings (and keep failing).
It's been pinned to my studio wall ever since, continually staring at me and challenging me. Over the next few months I plan to try and develop the ideas in this picture in a series of paintings.
