Painting in St Kilda Botanical Gardens

Here's some pictures of Cheri and I painting in the park. We found a secluded clearing which was inspiring.
Unfortunately, my painting of a tree spirit was crap so I won't even bother posting it. I liked the initial drawing for it, so I will work it up digitally, and post that up real soon. Meanwhile, here's some pictures of us amongst the trees and the initial drawing:

hhhmmmm secluded. yes, that's because it's the middle of a GARDEN BED and you're not meant to be there. that's why public gardens have these things called PATHS and LAWNS. it's not just some random dictatorial rule, it's to protect the garden from inadvertant damage, soil compaction, spread of weeds, pests and diseases etc from pedestrian traffic. *end rant*
