Tram Ride - painting in progress

These days, it feels like all I got are paintings in progress! I've been exploring daily life, everyday experience in my latest work and this painting is a tram ride (it's actually painted on top of an older painting).

This painting is done in oils and acrylic, on canvas, 120 x 90 cm. Here you can see it in the studio, with my palette underneath it. This still needs a lot of work, a lot more building up. I'm going to go pretty heavy handed on the paint in this one, while at the same time I'm looking to simplify the image. We'll see how it turns out soon enough!
