Superbike Racer

Recently I've been playing around with digital media, just playing to discover where I can evolve my work into.

During my trip to Japan last year I picked up this book from a magazine store. Well it was so thick it was basically a book! From what I can tell its some sort of collectors guide, page after page of vintage Japanese illustration, from toy packaging to magazine covers to animation cel art. I was heavily inspired by the old covers and robot boxes, with brilliant mixes of image and type and faded colours.

This inspired me to create this work, a character I call Superbike Racer. It's a personal piece, crafted in Painter, Photoshop and Illustrator.
